The Women’s USA basketball team wins the gold medal for the 8th consecutive time, cementing a dynasty that features the most talented and athletic members of the WNBA. The women that make up the WNBA are elite athletes, and this year’s Team USA proved it. It was a fight to the finish as the women fought France for the title. The clock was counting down in the 4th quarter; the USA was up by 3 points, and France was not laying off. In the nail-biter, France’s Gabby Williams almost forced the game into overtime with her buzzer-beating bucket because her foot touched the three-point line during the shot. The final score was 67-66.
