The iconic and beloved mascot of the New York Liberty, Ellie the Elephant, or “Big Ellie” if you’re nasty (JK), has achieved remarkable milestones this season, inspiring admiration among fans and sports enthusiasts. Following a championship season, Ellie and her talented creative team elevated her presence across fashion, dance, and celebrity collaborations, making her a symbol of excellence and innovation in sports entertainment.
Her dance moves and fashion choices have captured America’s attention, proving she’s more than just a mascot-she’s a cultural icon with a growing presence in entertainment and fashion.
Ellie’s success has inspired the creation of new mascot identities, such as Violet from the Golden State Valkyries, underscoring her role in shaping the future of sports mascots and entertainment trends.
Credit is due to Ellie the Elephant’s creative team, dancers, and collaborators, whose dedication fosters appreciation and respect. Without these talented individuals: CEO Keia Clarke, Chief Brand Officer Shana Stephenson, Senior Director of Entertainment Criscia Long, and Senior Entertainment Manager Shenay Rivers-Ellie wouldn’t be setting the trends she is, inspiring fans and industry peers alike.
