In May, American artist Rachel Mason independently released an original 21-song album titled, “The Lives of Hamilton Fish” along with a musical film. The songs and film tell the story of two men with the same name whose deaths were printed on the same front page of a newspaper, a true coincidence that Mason herself discovered. One was a notorious serial killer and the other a famed politician from one of the country’s oldest political dynasties. Listen to us discuss the project’s creative process, being an artist and why we should all check out “The Lives of Hamilton Fish.”
The podcast’s intro music is “Covered Wagon” courtesy of Tayisha Busay off their debut full-length LP, “Focus/Virus” and Rachel Mason’s “Nightmare” from “The Lives of Hamilton Fish” leads us into the interview.
