Episode 38: Joan Jett

LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST ON:

Listen to one of my very first solo interviews featuring legendary rock n roll icon Joan Jett. This interview predates the podcast and was recorded on a very old tape recorder 6 years ago so the audio quality isn’t the greatest. In 2006 Sinister Girlz (the zine) was celebrating its 6 year anniversary; it was the first issue that the zine would go from a home printed publication to a glossy professionally printed magazine. Joan was nice enough to call in early on a Saturday morning just minutes before she boarded a plane to go on tour with Aerosmith to talk about her album “Sinner” and her passion project, Neon Angels, which later became The Runaways movie.

The podcast’s intro music is “Covered Wagon” courtesy of Tayisha Busay off their debut full-length LP, “Focus/Virus” and “A.C.D.C.” from “Sinner” which can also be found on “Joan Jett and The Blackhearts: Greatest Hits” album leads us into the interview.
