The band that shared the Broadway stage with six different Hedwigs, (Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew Rannells, Darren Criss, Michael C. Hall, John Cameron Mitchell and Taye Diggs) Tits of Clay, has earned the coveted title of Fan Favorite on our Best of the year album list for 2015. The band beat out other favorites including, Latin grammy award nominee Natalia Jimenez and pop girl group Fifth Harmony.
Tits of Clay, the rocking “Angry Inch” from the gender-bending Tony Award winning musical, ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’ released, “Belasco,” their five-track debut EP in September. The EP features their rendition of Lou Reed’s “Satellite Of Love,” Devo’s “Uncontrollable Urge,” “Whole Wide World” (Wreckless Eric), “Blank Generation” (Richard Hell) and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “I’ll Keep It With Mine.”
The album titled after David Belasco, the theatrical producer, impresario, director, playwright and founder of the Belasco Theatre, where ‘Hedwig’ was staged became an instant favorite and featured heavily on broadcasts of Sinister Girlz Live.
